I don’t know about you…but I’m feeling 42…
Yesterday I celebrated my 42nd birthday…you don’t believe me?
Yes, I also don’t but I’m pretty sure I’ve lived some 20 or more years than my actual age in my sloppy brain already to call myself an aunt and a grannie in the next few years actually…
My melancholy made fun of me for a while but my unconscious existence till now did not let me see the light amidst the fog of excessive overthinking…
When people say “The world average age of death is a few years lower at 69.8 years for men and 74.9 years for women” I can bet my ass…humans live more and beyond in their heads for some 2000 years to exaggerate!
So, what do the reports claim about overthinking…” According to a recent study conducted by psychologists at Harvard University, a staggering 46.9% of our waking hours are spent thinking about something other than what we're doing. But this constant mind wandering isn't just a nuisance - it actually makes us unhappy. In fact, the study found that a person's mind-wandering status accounted for a significant 10.8% of their happiness, while the specific activity they were engaged in only contributed 4.6% to their overall happiness.”
You don’t earn the title of an “overthinker” but also are rewarded with a Black, Dull badge of an Unhappy creature!

Now that you are aware of such a great problem, these are some personal suggestions on how to break this vicious loop and be a bit happier.
?????????????Finding your voice and putting an end to mindless browsing can give you a feeling of direction and focus, which can help you avoid overthinking. Finding your voice allows you to communicate your ideas and feelings to others, which can assist to make them more clear and easier to understand. You can use that time to engage in things that are more meaningful and rewarding, which can help to keep your mind focused and reduce overthinking, as opposed to getting sucked into the never-ending cycle of social media and other distractions.
?????????????The "do it now" approach can be a useful tool for avoiding overanalyzing and putting off tasks. This method is completing a task as soon as you think of it, as opposed to letting it sit on your to-do list or putting it off till later. You won't experience stress or overwhelm as a result of this. Furthermore, by doing activities as soon as possible, you can prevent the stress and procrastination that might result from delaying things. You may stay organized, productive, and focused by adopting a "do it now" attitude, which can aid in avoiding overanalyzing and procrastinating.
?????????????The discipline of mindfulness involves being fully present at the moment without passing judgment. By training, individuals to be more cognizant of their thoughts and to notice when their minds are beginning to stray, mindfulness can help people avoid overthinking. This can assist in breaking the cycle of overthinking and halt the downward spiral of unfavorable thoughts. Additionally, mindfulness can aid in lowering stress and anxiety, which are frequent causes of overthinking. In addition to these advantages, practicing mindfulness can make people stronger and better able to handle stress and adversity.
In conclusion, overthinking can be a destructive habit that can lead to unhappiness and stress. It's time to start living in the moment and saying goodbye to the wandering mind. By doing so, we can lead happier, more fulfilling lives and find the peace and contentment that we've?been?seeking.
