Tip – If you need to perform “off the cuff” in a meeting, a TV studio or on a podcast, decide on your angle and roll with it. It’s taken me 7 goes as a newspaper pundit to get the hang of it!
You can watch the clip below!
Yes, it was a fluffy piece, although the tea conversation got the most email and social media reactions than everything else.
It’s taken me 7 goes as a pundit to realise you have to come up with an opinion, an angle or a CHUNK of content you can land on. It’s a useful technique to use in meetings.
Being in a TV studio as part of the “banter” is a bit like being in a meeting where you may get thrown a random curved ball.
The other Saturday Tre and I had around 6 minutes of prep time after being given a list of topics 'of the jour'!
In the past, I used to panic and attempt to read up on all the topics only to find they’d throw in other topics (hand grenades) halfway through and ask me about something I hadn’t read up on.

I’ve learnt you need to trust yourself and go with the flow.
TIP – Next time you’re in a meeting and you don’t know ALL the details, but you DO need to have a voice… trust yourself, have an opinion and share your thoughts, even if it’s just your “hunch.”
Sometimes you don’t have enough time to research everything. It can be terrifying because you don’t want to be exposed or say the wrong thing. Having a GUT reaction isn’t wrong. Your hunch or feeling can’t be wrong, so speak up and dive in. I dare you to spill the “tea”.
Who dares wins remember!
By the way, what’s your favourite tea? Let me know!
