Look great on camera! (Here's a quick checklist.)
If you're just getting started with video marketing, here's a quick checklist to help you look and feel your best on camera.
???Front-facing light to illuminate your face and brighten your eyes. No harsh shadows.
???Camera is positioned at eye level so you can look into the lens.
???Microphone for clear audio. No background noise.
???Background is clear of distractions. Every object in the background makes sense to the viewer and has a reason for being there. Objects correlate to your brand message.
???Rule of thirds - your eyes need to be in the upper thirds of the frame.
???You are dressed to portray and convey an intentional image.
???Speak into the camera like you are talking to ONE person who is your friend.
???Do not say “hey guys” like you’re talking to a group. You are speaking to ONE person at a time. An alternative would be “hey friend.” (singular)
???Be enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic. Stand up if you need to.
???If sitting, sit up straight and tall with shoulders back, head high. Be confident.
???Include your upper torso and hands in the frame. It’s ok to use your hands, just keep them in the video frame.
