Appearance
Ever notice how certain fabrics just seem to complement your look perfectly?
It’s all about matching your clothing to your personal texture!
Think of it as achieving harmony in your style.
When your clothing's texture aligns with your personal features, it creates a balanced and cohesive appearance.
Here is my rule of thumb:
For those with straight, shiny hair, fabrics like satin and silk enhance the sleekness of your hair, contributing to a harmonious look. These materials reflect light smoothly, mirroring the shine and smooth texture of your hair, creating a unified visual effect.
In contrast, if you have curly hair, knitwear offers a different kind of harmony. The textured, cozy feel of knits works well with the natural bounce of your curls, providing a complementary balance. The texture of the fabric harmonizes with the curls, enhancing their shape and adding a cohesive element to your overall appearance.
But here's where you can break the rule:
Don’t be afraid to experiment.
Mixing textures can also lead to striking, unexpected results. Sometimes, breaking away from conventional matches can lead to a unique and confident style that’s all your own.
The key is achieving that perfect blend where your personal texture and fabric work together seamlessly, or daring to mix things up for a fresh look. :)
Communication
Most of us believe we're great listeners, but...
often we’re actually talking too much.
Effective communication is not just about speaking; it’s about truly listening.
Give the person you're speaking to some space.
Before you respond, take a moment to pause.
This brief pause allows the other person to continue or add something meaningful. It demonstrates that you value their input and are genuinely engaged in the conversation.
People who truly listen are highly valued because it’s so rare to be genuinely heard.
When you make the effort to pause and listen, you’re not just improving your communication, you’re building stronger, more meaningful connections.
Who doesn't want that?
Mindset
Just like Siri, your mind is constantly processing your self-talk and thoughts.
Similarly, your mindset flourishes when you speak kindly and think positively about yourself.
Research shows that positive self-talk can significantly boost your confidence, motivation, and performance.
When you speak kindly to yourself, it helps build a stronger mindset, leading to better achievements and handling of challenges.
So, be mindful of your internal dialogue.
Swap out negative self-talk for affirmations and encouragement.
Your mind, much like Siri, will respond better to positive input.
P.S.

2 个月Great read, Natalie Wong! Effective communication relies on truly listening. A successful content strategy (not surprisingly) hinges on understanding and 'listening' to your audience’s needs, pain points, and feedback. When we pause to absorb what our audience is expressing (through comments, engagement metrics, and conversations) we can create content that truly resonates and adds value. This approach builds stronger connections and also cultivates a loyal and engaged audience. This concept of ‘pausing and listening’ made me learn and apply to it my expertise of digital content creation. Hope I understood (And related) it correctly!

2 个月For me, mindset is the most important one. That's because all we think in our mind, gets passed to our subconscious and while we all want to be supported by our mind with positive thoughts, we sometimes give it lots of negatives and critique. There is a certain discipline and mental awareness needed not to get carried away by the negative wheel of thoughts.
