Look Feel Act Confident

Appearance

Black is Everywhere!

But...

Not everyone can pull off black. I

t’s a bold colour, but for some, especially those with lighter complexions, it can wash them out or feel too harsh.

Many of my clients share that their closets are filled with mostly black items.

While black is classic and timeless, it doesn’t suit everyone.

So, what’s a dark colour that works for almost everyone?

Navy blue!

Navy is universally flattering and still gives you that polished, professional look without the risk.

For those with fair skin, it’s especially transformative!

Navy blue provides depth without overwhelming your natural tones.

Whether it's a sweater, jacket, or dress, this versatile shade complements all skin tones and makes styling a breeze.

See for yourself:

Cate Blanchett, with her light complexion, looks better in navy blue. Notice how the black is too high contrast with her skin tone. Lucy Liu can wear black and also navy blue very well because her cool undertone harmonizes beautifully with both colors.

Communication

Do you say:

a) Mom I'd like to introduce you to my friend Paul.

Or

b) Paul, I'd like to introduce you to my mom.

When it comes to introducing people, there's a simple rule of thumb that can help you navigate these situations smoothly: mention the oldest person first or the person with the highest status.

For instance, if you're introducing your girlfriend to your grandpa, you’d say, “Grandpa, I’d like you to meet Amy, my girlfriend.” This way, you honour your grandpa’s age and role in the family.

In a work setting, if you’re introducing a friend to someone important like a mayor, you’d say, “Mr. Mayor, this is my friend Jo.” This shows respect for the mayor's position while highlighting your connection to your friend.

Using this approach creates a welcoming atmosphere for everyone.

It helps the person of higher status or age feel acknowledged and makes introductions feel more comfortable.

The correct answer is...

a) Mom I'd like to introduce you to my friend Paul.

Mindset

Changing habits can feel really hard when you only rely on willpower.

You set your intentions,

make promises to yourself, and yet,

you find it challenging to stick to your goals.

This struggle can make you feel upset and stuck.

But what if there was a simpler way?

Hypnotherapy could be just what you need.

It helps you reach your subconscious mind, making it easier to create lasting change.

Instead of battling your instincts, you can actually reshape your thoughts and behaviours from the inside out.

Imagine... shifting your mindset without all the stress and effort.

Hypnotherapy helps you tap into the deeper layers of your mind, where habits are formed.

This means you can let go of those old, unhelpful habits and embrace new, positive ones, making your path to change much smoother and more achievable.

Why not give it a shot?

Getting rid of your bad habits will change your life. What have you got to lose? Try hypnotherapy.

I think black is one of if not the most elegant colours. But I only wear it to work. I wouldn’t wear it on a day off. I prefer pastels or strong colours. Strange

Black is my main color. I do have some navy, yet definitely black works better for me.
