Look deep and reflect
There are certainly times in life when the surface waters of our life pool become turbulent.
I see my life as a pool that gets a little deeper as each day and each year passes. How precious time is as it passes with all the experiences we've had, the memories we've created, and the relationships we've collected. It defines my true wealth.
When I can calm those surface waters I get a better lens to look deep into those waters and a mirror to reflect on who I am and where I am. January 1 can make for a good day for that. This year, I'm looking deeper and reflecting more. (I know you know what I'm saying when I say the waters have been a little stirred up lately!)
And tomorrow, when those waters of daily life may become a bit turbulent, I will remember the message the Stoics and the serenity prayer deliver to calm those surface waters so I can regain clarity and gratitude for the things I can control.
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
I listen to your organization's business goals and help you match technology to reach them faster.
