A Look Back on Interpack 2017
Interpack 2017 has come to a close but I expect the energy and excitement from a week of new technologies, innovation and networking to continue for some time. I want to thank those who worked tirelessly to organize the event and host us in Dusseldorf.
The trade fair for the packaging sector and related industries pulled record attendance from around the globe. There was noticeable representation from Russia, Asia, Chile, Central America and Canada. With leaders in our industry present, it was an honor to be able to demonstrate several of TREIF’s new technologies to so many.
Here are some of the highlights:
- The new FALCON evolution: Designed specifically with the USA market in mind, this weight controlled portion cutter now has a larger product chamber, the food area is much easier to clean and features an intuitive software interface.
- AVITOS: A new dicer from TREIF, not yet available in the USA will lead the market in frozen products down to 0oF for salted products and 10oF for unsalted. Cutting very precise frozen cubes and strips from 4mm to 10mm with few leftover pieces.
- PUMA: With a newly integrated computer display for intuitive, modern visualization.
Outside of our immediate sector, we saw incredible innovations in packaging with particular attention to single and smaller portion packs. And a keen focus on correct labeling and sanitation. Despite the underlying feeling of economic uncertainty, which we felt at IPPE earlier this year as well, the energy and opportunity for growth and advancement was clear as we spoke to old and new friends alike at the TREIF booth and as we walked through the halls.
I would say that Interpack 2017 was an all around success!
