For 25 years ITS has supplied IT staff and technology solutions to over 100 law firms
Cloud and Remote Working are stable mates that have continued to shape the way we worked throughout 2023. Cloud momentum has increased “Cloud ubiquity”. Cloud services have become more accessible, affordable, and reliable, enabling law firms of all sizes to leverage the benefits of cloud computing; and cloud providers have expanded their global presence, with more regions, availability zones, and edge locations to meet the diverse needs of legal customers.
The Environmental Impact of office bound workplace strategies has continued to come under scrutiny, which means enabling a hybrid workforce has become an issue for the entire C-suite, with genuine stakeholders in Finance, Operations, and Security; it’s no longer just IT matter.
Public Cloud Providers have taken more proactive and transparent steps towards sustainability and carbon-intelligent platforms; reducing the environmental impact of their operations, via renewable energy sources, improving energy efficiency, and offsetting carbon emissions. ?Customers have also taken advantage of more tools to monitor and optimise their cloud resource consumption and reduce their carbon footprint.
Cloud Providers have Enhanced the performance, reliability, and security of their cloud infrastructure and platform services by leveraging artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation. In addition, cloud customers have increasingly adopted more automation and programmability in their cloud workflows, using infrastructure as code, configuration management, and orchestration tools.
Remote Communication Technology has increased the tool sets that are helping businesses realise their diversity goals and become more inclusive; by enabling collaboration and engagement among distributed teams with different backgrounds, abilities, and preferences. Barriers around location and mobility have been largely removed with cloud technology, improving accessibility, usability, and collaboration.

Gartner has estimated that by the end of 2023, 48% of knowledge workers globally will work either fully remotely (9%) or via hybrid arrangements (39%). In the US, fully remote and hybrid workers are expected to account for a massive 71% of the workforce.
We Expect the Cloud Continuum to continue to grow and evolve, as more workloads shift to the cloud and more cloud providers offer localised and customised solutions for different regions, markets, and industries. Customers will continue to leverage the best of cloud computing for their specific needs; seeking closer integration of multiple cloud capabilities and services, including data centres, private, public, hybrid, and multi-clouds.?
