It’s safe to say that 2021 was a year very much centred around health. From lockdowns, vaccination roll-outs, new variants and the continued upheaval into the way we live our lives, people across the globe became acutely aware of their own health and well-being like never before. With this renewed attention, the industry continued its digital evolution and new tools and technologies emerged.?

In 2021, Atida welcomed new members to our family and grew our team to over 700+ employees.?
- Santediscount: one of France’s leading parapharmacies joined Atida
- eFarma.com: the leading online pharmacy in Italy became Atida’s hub in Italy
- Dosfarma: Spain’s leading online pharmacy for the sale of over-the-counter medicines (OTC) and parapharmacy products is welcomed to Atida
- A new logistics centre in Venlo (The Netherlands) opened to help us reach our goal of reaching even more customers with efficient delivery
- Truly European: we now operate in nine countries and have seven Atida office hubs. From Italy, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain - we are proud to offer our customers a truly European platform.

We evolved our platform and brand to better cater to our customer’s needs.?
- Mifarma became Atida | Mifarma in Spain and Portugal and the platform’s look and feel experienced an update built with online pharmacy in mind
- Atida.pt launched as our first Atida platform, optimised for mobile to make ordering and shopping on the go easier
- Our French and Italian platforms also saw updates becoming Santédiscount by Atida and eFarma by Atida.?
From curative to preventative. Atida offers a catalogue of products to meet your unique needs.?
- New brands created just for you: In 2021, we launched our very own private label - Atida. Offering a range of personal care and beauty products, the range is now available on all our Atida sites
- A range of over 150 private label products: From skincare, vitamins, minerals and supplements, suncare, baby and kids we want to help our customers move forwards in life with confidence. Check out just some of our brands: Skinfy, Balasense, Tropicania and Mifarma Baby?

Shopping habits and trends evolved during the pandemic. Ordering health and well-being products online is here to stay.
- Visits to Atida platforms grew by approximately 50% compared to pre-pandemic levels
- A healthy habit was formed: Even when vaccination schemes were being rolled out across Europe in the summer of 2021 and restrictions started to lift, the online platform saw customers and orders increase by around 40% compared to pre-pandemic times concluding the online shopping for health and well-being is here to stay
- Consumer trends such as the #NoMakeup movement were seen clearly through sales of cosmetics not growing as quickly during lockdowns while the sale of skincare products rose
- Travel restrictions were clearly shown by the drop in purchases of sun-related products caused by people taking more ‘staycations’
- Vitamins and supplements remained a popular choice throughout the COVID-19 period
