In our December issue of our in.form newsletter, we would like to take the opportunity to look back at the past year. What was new at Halbmond? Which products and collections did we launch?
- We look back with pleasure on a week at BAU in Munich. After four years without a trade fair, we enjoyed the personal encounters with many customers, business partners and interested parties at our stand. A trade fair is not just a showcase and a place to meet people, but also a kind of sextant to check and, if necessary, adjust your own course. The feedback we received in discussions about our new brochures and other plans showed us that we are on the right track.
- We are also pleased to look back on the development of our trainees: our two former(!) trainees Paula J?ckel and Anna-Lena Wrublezka can be particularly proud this year. Both of them successfully passed their final exams in the summer and thus completed their training as a textile laboratory assistant and product tester for textiles. Since then, they have been working in the company in process engineering development and quality assurance. This summer, also two new young people started their training at Halbmond: Like Ms. J?ckel, Annika Schmied is training to become a textile laboratory technician, while Justin Dietzmann has opted to train as a plant and machine operator.
- We also took the opportunity to exhibit at a second trade fair this year. Together with other members of the "Furniture Club - Made in Germany", we presented ourselves and our products at the Cruise Ship Interiors expo in Miami. Our joint stand with
GH Hotel Interior Group
and
Missal Objekt Licht GmbH & Co. KG
was so well received that we were chosen as the winners of the most sustainable booth award at CSI Design Expo Americas.
- After a long time, finally a Open Day took place at our Headquarter in Oelsnitz again. Over 800 guests took the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes in our production. All Halbmond employees had their share in helping us celebrate this unforgettable day. The guided tours through the running production were particularly well received, with experienced employees answering questions. Important stations, such as tufting or printing, were presented.
- This year saw a change in the management of our company: Eric Seliger is registered as second managing director of Halbmond Teppichwerke GmbH from October 1st. Ralf Litzenberg is and remains managing director and managing partner with operational responsibility. The respective areas of responsibility are divided between Eric Seliger and Ralf Litzenberg. Nothing changes in the shareholder structure (Ralf Litzenberg 74%, Martin Scheel 26%).
As we successfully navigated through the year 2023, we are now setting our sights on the upcoming year and eagerly anticipating new challenges and exciting procets. Our company has ambitious plans for 2024, and we are confident that, togehter as a company, with our costumers, wie can achive further successful milestones. We wish all our readers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
