The longest story I told was in 7 words

The longest story I told was in 7 words

This is one of the stories I told myself for decades…

"My parents never allowed me to read.”

= 7 words, 1 sentence, 30 years.

That's how short a long story can be, and it cost me - among many things - the experience of ????

- Trust

- Confidence

- Love

In myself. I lost trust in myself. I had no confidence to write. And I hated myself.

But I masqueraded my failings saying ‘I had no time, I’m too busy’. I also had an impressive shield to fool myself - the journalist mask.

Only the weak take to blame game. Blaming upbringing, blaming situation, blaming jobs, blaming cats on the street…

Here’s 1 easy way to become an author – Book your journal!

Start writing journal concentrating on these 3 points:

1.????Choose your type of book

This is important because you will ‘feel’ to write. Initially you need to motivate yourself, so a book of your liking will help. For instance, I love leather jacketed book with yellowish pages. Do not write on gadgets.

2.????Date your notes

Write the date, the time the events happened. The names of people involved. The places. Mention the dress you were wearing, the shoes, your watch. The colour of the car…. Capture every detail possible

3.????Write your feelings

Be honest with yourself. Write the truth. How you felt. Write even the darkest of feelings, which you may be ashamed to say aloud. How the feelings erupted inside you, when it peaked, how you got over it, or how it impacted the events.

And…

If there are no events worth mentioning on a day , still write these 3 points. What you did through the day

If you just lazed around…write what were the thoughts that occupied your mind and what were the feelings that accompanied your heart]

And on those days when you feel there is nothing worth writing, think about the BLAME game you played, think of the EXCUSES you made and write that down.

In SIX months, you can compile the notes into a book – that will be honest, touching and uniquely yours!

Happy Writing!
