Here is your quick tip from vLink Solutions on how to use video and virtual events to engage your audience.
Tip: Standard webcams are no longer acceptable for virtual events.?
First, you need to know there is a difference between a virtual meeting and a virtual event. Virtual events broadcast to a large audience, typically more than 20 viewers. Virtual events can include webinars but also extend into hybrid events - where you have both in-person and remote audiences.
Low-quality web cameras are no longer acceptable. A web camera and web conferencing platform are not enough to produce high-quality video. Video is compressed on these platforms. Next-level live virtual events stream at full 1080DP up to 4K video. Event attendees notice the difference.
Ideally, you'll use production-quality video cameras but if budget is a concern, we have found a lower-cost camera that performs well. The Insta360 Link UHD 4K has full PTZ controls and produces a great picture for virtual meetings and is adequate for virtual events.
