Technology is a great thing!? I’m sure that we can all agree that it has benefited our lives in so many ways over the past few decades.? But, because of this great technology we all enjoy, people have been sitting more and more.? Many adults now spend the majority of their day sitting with long commutes and more sedentary jobs.
Many published research studies have linked prolonged sitting to many health concerns. These include obesity, increased blood pressure, high blood sugar, excess body fat around the waist and unhealthy cholesterol levels.? Prolonged sitting and inactivity seem to also increase the risk of death from cardiovascular disease and cancer.? That being said, it would make total sense to get up and get moving to manage your health and your life! Here are a few ideas to consider when working on minimizing your sitting and increasing your activity.?
