LegacyCare Pro News - October Edition

LegacyCare Pro News - October Edition

Today, we're going to give you a look at some demos from our LegacyCare Pro software for those who can afford to tie up a small portion (10% to 15%) of their Portfolio...up to 20% if they want to beef up Legacy planning. It the kid's inheritance.

If done in a timely fashion, you can give your affluent clients a better chance of Home Health Care as well as making sure you keep their Legacy planning in line with their wishes. This will allow you clients to spend down Tax-Qualified accounts while on claim and pass more "tax-free" dollars to heirs. Otherwise, they will delay going into their pocketbook, wear down the primary caregiver and start looking for a new Advisor.

(70% of females go to new Advisor after male spouse dies. Do you think lackluster attitude towards Long-Term Care planning and her taking care of husband had anything to do with this statistic? Wake up, guys!)

Things to consider when it comes to affluent and Long-Term Care planning:

- Nobody wants to "self insure" care expenses. I mean NOBODY!

- You will be outside of Cash Flow with any care event because ongoing household expenses take up much of the monthly income, even for High Net Worth households.

- Do your clients really want Home Health Care? Home Health Care is 150% to 200% of the cost of Nursing Home Care.

- Is it easier to generate premiums or "dollar-for-dollar" spending?

- Adding dollars to the Asset-based Long-Term Care plans will go towards Long-Term Care supplementing vs. being able to fund both Long-Term Care and Legacy for a small increase in commitment.

- If you were going to "borrow" the kid's inheritance, do you want to give it back 1x, 1.5x, 2x, 2.5x or 3x the money you set aside for their Care Fund...if they go on claim or not?

- How can you prove you did what's in client's "best interest" if you don't have a comparison to something different from same funding?

- Want a Death Benefit on your client's Long-Term Care plan? What's the Death Benefit after a 3 year Home Health Care claim? See demos below.

- Did you show your clients how to "discount" every dollar they spend on care? THIS CANNOT BE DONE WITH ONE PRODUCT!

- How are you going to tell as story if your story is about premiums and their inheritance going out the door? You need proof...even, if your clients put you in a bad position. You still may get to keep their children as clients.
