Long Term Care Administrator's Week
Celebrate National Long Term Care Administrator's Week
March 13-19, 2016
Since 1994, The American College of Health Care Administrators has sponsored this national observance each March. Long Term Care Administrator's Week honors and celebrates the important role the administrator has in providing leadership for the delivery of quality, resident-centered care and a supportive work environment for staff.
Here are some suggested ways in which you might honor and recognize your Administrator:
- For individual recognition: flowers, candy, lunch or dinner out, gift certificates (i.e. spa/salon, massage therapist, etc.) so that they can be on the receiving end of care giving, tickets to area events, etc. Present a certificate of appreciation the your administrator.
- For community recognition: a special meal, social or theme day at the community hosted by someone other than your administrator; celebrate with special activities that include residents, family, volunteers and staff.
- For local media recognition: email a press release to local newspapers; click here to search for newspapers in your area.
- Social Media: Be sure to post your events to the ACHCA Facebook page. Follow ACHCA on Twitter and use the official hashtag #LTCAWeek16 to tweet about your special moments.
ACHCA commends, salutes and thanks those Administrators in nursing homes and assisted living centers who are committed to providing excellent quality of care and quality of life for the most vulnerable members of society. Congratulations on a job very well done!
