Long or Short Videos: Which is Best for You
Hello All -
Now that you are a video-producing monster (after reading my other articles, of course), some subtlety creeps in. Should you create longer or shorter videos? First, let's put in a definition: A short form video is less than 2.5 ~ 3 minutes. Anything over that is a long form video.
So the answer is: it depends.
My article was inspired by this article:
If you are putting together an introductory video for your business, a short form production is the way to go. You can present how your business is different from the competition, how you solve business problems, present a call to action, and throw in a testimonial or two all in under 3 minutes. And you will not assault the short attention span of most viewers.
here are some ideas for other short form videos:
·????????Product demo videos: These videos showcase the features and benefits of your product in action. They can be used to introduce new products or to highlight the unique selling points of existing ones
·????????How-to videos: These videos provide step-by-step instructions on how to use your product or service. They can be a great way to educate customers and help them get the most out of what you offer.
·????????Explainer videos: These videos use animation or other visuals to explain a complex concept or process. They can be a great way to simplify technical information and make it more accessible to your audience.
·????????Company culture videos: These videos offer a behind-the-scenes look at your company's culture and values. They can help to humanize your brand and create a connection with potential customers.
Are you itching to produce a long form video? Here are some suggestions:

There is a type of video that falls in the cracks between long and short form videos. And they are the ones that document events, such as fundraisers. Here are three of my videos where I was asked to film fundraising events:
