LONG SERVING HEROES

In July, Paul Bushell, Managing Director for P&B Metal Components Ltd. had the enormous pleasure of presenting three employees with their 40 years’ service awards. 

Those three employees were John Saffrey - Packing and Despatch Supervisor, David Wilson - Tool Room Machinist and Kevin Castle - Press Tool Designer, all from our Whitstable Site. All three colleagues joined P&B in 1978. 

John, David and Kevin join 2 other employees who have been part of the P&B team for more than 40 years. 

But they aren't our only long serving employees. We are extremely gratified to have such a loyal workforce and can proudly say that more than 43% of our workforce has been with the business for more than 5 years. In addition to this, 33% of our team members have been a part of P&B for more than 10 years

• 18% for more than 20 years 
• 12 employees for more than 30 years 
• 5 employees for more than 40 years. 

We even have 1 employee who has been part of the P&B team for 48 years! 

A UK worker will change employer every five years on average, according to research by life insurance firm LV with 15% of employees resigning every year so we are extremely proud of the long service and loyalty of many of our colleagues.
