Long Service Award

This marks a significant milestone in my professional journey as, over the past decade, I've made substantial contributions to the success of the company by delivering impactful results. Returning to Dilmah in October 2013, I bridged gaps between the operational and Oracle Implementation team. Leveraging my product knowledge from a previous company and Dilmah's operational domain expertise, I played a pivotal role as a core team member in the implementation of Oracle ERP at Dilmah.

Throughout the implementation process, we successfully deployed the Oracle E-Business Suite, covering functions from order to cash, plan to produce, and procure to pay, across all cross-functional operations. Notably, I oversaw the order to cash segment and managed the Pricing and Costing Modules. Additionally, I led the Agile PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) implementation for Dilmah's New Product Development and orchestrated the transfer of transaction data to the SQL Data Warehouse, delivering Management Information through MS SSRS.

Following the successful operation of the ERP system, I was tasked with spearheading the Business Intelligence division in IT, marking a significant transition in my career from ERP operations to Business Intelligence. In 2018, I utilized MS SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS to provide valuable insights to management. By 2020, I began constructing a data warehouse in Azure, incorporating various Azure features and migrating approximately 150 descriptive dashboards to Power BI.

Most recently, I initiated a project at Dilmah to modernize the data warehouse to a Medallion architecture, enhancing its prescriptive and predictive capabilities through the utilization of machine learning algorithms.

Throughout this journey, I've had the privilege of collaborating with professionals across all levels at Dilmah. I've had the honor of working closely with Mr. Merrill J. Fernando, the founder and chairman of Dilmah, known for introducing single-origin tea to the international market and conducting business with principles of human service and social responsibility. Presently, I am collaborating closely with Mr. Dilhan C. Fernando to establish Dilmah's business intelligence platform and with Mr. Malik J. Fernando to implement analytics for the leisure sector into our BI dashboard.

In conclusion, I express my gratitude to Dilmah for providing me with the opportunity to showcase my talents and contribute to the company's success. It has been an honor to be part of such a remarkable organization that has brought Sri Lankan excellence to the world stage.
