A Long Road Ahead - Help Us Bring 'Love, Lusine' to Life

Hello Linkedin Family ,
In my personal life and professional career, I have made it my mission to use my business skills to help lift up people/startups and their stories that deserve to be heard and might otherwise never be told. As my executive coach, Goly Anvary , helped me discover, "I'm here to help people maximize the value of their life's work." Most days, that is startups, and many days (mostly nights) recently, it is also film.
From my early days interning at Veritable, LP working for Sonia Florio Peterson where I met the gloriously talented Brian Lipko, producing and staring in his some of his early films, to writing screenplays during my study abroad at ESCE International Business School (shout out Marta Vazquez ). My passion for storytelling has risen and receded like the tide.
Over the last three years, a huge part of my film work has been dedicated to Equal Parts Productions , as we dedicate our hearts, souls, sweat, and tears (they are real) to bringing the feature-length documentary, 'Love, Lusine", to life.
Through this article, I hope I can help portray why this project holds such an important place in my heart and why I feel it is crucial that Lucy's story can make it in front of the global audience it deserves.
About 'Love, Lusine'
"Love, Lusine: Road to Armenia" is set to follow Lusine Yeghiazaryan, an Armenian-American singer, as she travels back to Armenia to fortify her country's heritage with her voice, all while bringing along her young daughter, who will be making her first trip to Armenia, the land of her mother, and to meet her grandfather.
Lucy's story is a representation of origins, both those new, 'left behind', and reconnected with. As father of two young daughters and a someone who has struggled with my sense of identity in this world, Lucy's story resonates with me on a personal level (as I imagine it does many others).

Our Journey So Far
For over three years, our dedicated team (including Maria Vattimo , Emmy award winning Veronica Stickelman , and Joseph Vattimo ) has poured heart and soul into this documentary. With the support of Armen Karaoghlanian /Mary Karaoghlanian and the Armenian Film Society , we have successfully raised funds to shoot in Los Angeles and New York City and recently won a $25,000 grant to help make this film a reality. While this is a significant achievement, it only covers half of the budget needed to take our production to Armenia.
Why We Need Your Support
To bring Lucy's powerful story to its full potential, we need to capture her journey back to Armenia, where she will visit her father and perform concerts in various cities. This trip is comes at a especially crucial moment in history, given the current geopolitical tensions in the region. Our budget must cover:
We only have one shot at this, and we want to do justice to Lucy's story.
The Stakes Are High
In times of conflict, it is particularly important to raise up the work and stories of poets, composers, doctors, and mathematicians, as taking steps to destroy a people's culture is the first step towards their eradication.
Lusine’s journey and story are a testament to resilience and cultural preservation, making this documentary more relevant than ever.
How You Can Help
As the executive producer, it is my responsibility to ensure we secure the necessary funds to capture Lusine’s story eloquently and authentically. We’re not there yet, and that’s why I’m reaching out to you for help.

Closing Thoughts
Reflecting on experiences that have made me who I am today, I immediately think of hosting the first Pavilion (shout out Sam Jacobs ) dinner in Philadelphia where I met the talented Maria Vattimo and went on produce award-winning films, such as the short documentary "KIM ". What all these experiences have in common is that they have constantly reminded me of the value of community and collaboration.
The support and encouragement we have received so far have been incredibly inspiring. We are excited to share this beautiful story with you and look forward to your continued support. Stay tuned for updates and join us in making "Love, Lusine: Road to Armenia" a reality.
Happy Hunting and Warm regards,
Joshua Amrani
