Long live the King.

I entered another Kingdom of Dog... but it wasn't easy. I wasn't prepared for what I came up against at the front door, but was really glad I got to see and experience it.
This handsome fellow has a beautiful castle where he and his humans live.... and everyone outside their immediate royal family is an intruder. The behavior seems to only be centered around the front door; it's brash, invasive, quite threatening... and has and will only continue to get worse. The behavior certainly made my hairs stand up. Once inside, he simmers down and accepts the presence of others... even allows them to rub his royal belly.
His humans are quite impressive both as individuals (I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and speaking with them; we've got common southern roots : )) and in their respective lines of work, and he's got them wrapped around his sweet little paw. So much so that he's gaining all the soft stuff, without its counterbalance.
Like a defiant, spoiled, rude, impolite, demanding, disrespectful child, there are certain things lacking which must be provided in order to curb his behaviors. Structure. Rules. Boundaries. Discipline. Energy drain.. to name a few. These are the ones that stick way out.
Like every child has their own individual personality and will require us to step up in a certain manner, dogs require this of us, too. This guy has continued to "gain" regardless of his choices, practices, states of mind, and disregard, without effective consequence. Sometimes his practices get ignored.... but this doesn't teach. Only temporarily diffuses... sometimes.
At any rate, I'm hoping to see these folks again soonest and help get everyone on the straight n' narrow : )
