The second phase will debut in fall 2017 with the opening of the SLS Baha Mar followed by the final phase in spring 2018 with the arrival of Rosewood Baha Mar.
The beachfront development eventually will feature 2,300 rooms and suites, the first ESPA flagship spa in the Caribbean; SENSE, a Rosewood Spa and Salon; the Peter Burwash International Racquet Club, state-of-the-art fitness facilities, luxury shopping, extensive water features, pool areas with beachfront cabanas, and family-friendly water activities.
Baha Mar, the $4.2 billion resort project in the Bahamas that has been plagued with construction delays, bankruptcy, lawsuits and executive changes, is finally set to open on April 21. The beachfront destination includes three resorts—Grand Hyatt, SLS Lux, and Rosewood.
Those Baha Mar resorts will have a combined 40 restaurants and lounges, the largest casino in the Caribbean with more than 100,000 square feet of gaming space, a 200,000 square-foot convention center, an 18-hole Championship Jack Nicklaus Golf Course and Golf Club, the first ESPA flagship spa in the Caribbean, and more than 30 luxury retail outlets.
