The new Gerald Desmond Bridge replacement, recently renamed the Long Beach International Gateway in October 2020, was completed using a full deck overlay of Kwik Bond Polymers' Polyester Concrete.

This new Southern California bridge is the second-tallest cable-stayed bridge in the United States (at the time of this writing). This bridge has a dated ADT (from 2012, with no current data yet) of 62,000 per day, and this includes 15 percent of the nation's imported waterborne trucking cargo.
