The Langham hosts PCD Club’s annual networking dinner on Thursday 28 November, where private client lawyers, accountants, wealth managers, bankers and trust companies will gather to make new connections and maximise business development opportunities in a relaxed and social setting.
The event is supported by by Gold Sponsors, Finance IM, Silver Sponsors, D?hle Corporate and Trust Limited & Bitcoin Suisse AG.
John Hunter, Head of Banking and Fiduciaries at Finance Isle of Man, said: ‘I am delighted to have the opportunity to speak to London based professionals about the Isle of Man proposition. As one of the safest, most stable and secure jurisdictions, the Isle of Man is the natural choice for traditional High Net Worth Individuals and their Family Offices. As a forward looking jurisdiction we are committed to the diversification of our financial services economy and to ensuring Isle of Man businesses have the right environment and support needed to flourish in the London market.’
Commenting further on the Isle of Man’s position in the private client world, John Bateson, Director at D?hle Corporate and Trust Isle of Man, said: ‘The Isle of Man stands out in comparison to most offshore jurisdictions and should always be considered as a serious contender for investment holding and succession planning for private clients.
‘It has led the way on many fronts and its recognition for Shipping, Aviation, e-commerce, Property & Investment Holding have a proven track record within the industry. Its proximity to the UK and connectivity to the City of London and Europe make it an ideal jurisdiction to channel investment into the UK and as a base internationally. Its Trust and Foundation legislation allows it to be an ideal jurisdiction for families and private clients to base their operations and to enable efficient succession planning and substance.’
Richard Wynn, Institutional Services at Bitcoin Suisse said: ’There is a fantastic opportunity to connect the crypto-financial service expertise that Bitcoin Suisse has built up in Switzerland with the London banking and finance world - and the best way to do that is on a very person level. So we're excited to sit down at this Private Client Dinner and talk about these synergies and see what can blossom out of these conversations!’
PCD Founder David Bell added: ‘The international nature of wealthy families today means that making connections to other advisors in key financial, legal & fiduciary centres of excellence will lead to new business.’
The format of the evening will be a one hour drinks reception, followed by a networking dinner. Find more information here. For an idea of what to expect, click here to see the gallery and guest list from the July dinner and the London dinner in March here.
