London Tech Week: my impressions of the conference

On June 13-17, London hosted Europe's most significant tech event - London Tech Week .

Five days were rich in active discussions about direct investments, tech policy, net-zero, lifelong education, healthcare tech, ethics of AI, emerging technologies, and innovation strategies.

With the pandemics and the war in Ukraine, it's been a long time since my previous offline event. Hence, I couldn't miss the opportunity to attend. Now, I want to share my first experience at London Tech Week 2022.

How did I prepare for the exhibition?

You probably know that London Tech Week is one of the biggest flagship events in the UK. More than 20,000 global tech specialists and enthusiasts, investors, and startup founders turned up at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre to exchange views on the future of technology and its influence on societies.

Since I had a great responsibility to represent the whole company, I prepared for the London Tech Week in advance. My team and I worked non-stop, 24/7, because we were motivated! Two primary goals for this conference were:?

  • To explore the new generation of tech innovations;
  • To network with interesting people for future productive collaborations and partnerships.

But the reality exceeded all my expectations.?

Keynotes from London Tech Week

What are the conference outcomes?

1. New insights on tech trends in the UK and all around the globe

As the whole globe is recovering after all COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, and people are coming out of the shell of their homes, it is only to be expected that topics brought up at London Tech Week 2022 include healthcare, media, and sustainability.

2. New partnerships

During the five days of the conference, we met a lot of tech specialists, startups, and well-developed companies to collaborate and partner with. And I'm not talking about simply making money; it's all about sharing experiences from both sides and finding new solutions to grow businesses.

3. Ukrainian IT Community promotion

I am glad I had an opportunity to talk about Ukraine in general and our IT industry. I was incredibly proud and delighted to receive such a level of support and words of encouragement from people I met. It motivates us to get stronger each day. We feel that we can cope with upcoming challenges because the world is on our side.

4. Networking

This point combines and concludes three previous. Inspiring speakers at the conference discussed future trends and predictions that we will meet soon. Moreover, I have met a lot of startups that are already ahead of the times and offer demanded solutions.

Let me tell you about some bright stars of London Tech Week:

Weather Trade Net

Our environment is not the only thing affected by climate change. Several aspects of business and operations, including strategic decision-making, are being transformed severely. There is an increasing number of investors who are concerned about the financial assets' prices and the allocation of their portfolios.

A ClimateTech & FinTech startup, Weather Data Net is bridging the gap between rapidly changing climate policies, corporate finance, and climate data.

Physical Risk Scoring is the startup's most popular service. The tool allows different businesses, government entities, and nonprofits to receive retrospective and forecasting analyses for 10, 20, and 30 years. Clients can analyze climate risk metrics worldwide as well as over time with several standardized methods, data, and tools.

I believe risk score data is the best starting point to investigate causalities between physical climate risks, climate-induced losses, and creditworthiness.

Purified News

This company has created a new way to receive verified news. It integrates social media features with serious news apps. You can stay up to date with Purified News in a fun, engaging, and vibrant way.

You can choose which of the people to follow and how much data you want to receive - it's that simple. Community members and artificial intelligence verify the facts from the app.

ible Airvida ?

The company's technologies are especially useful in the new wave of COVID-19. Airvida IoT air purifiers protect against 99.7% of Coronavirus and 99.9% of other viruses, according to the company's tests.

Every 0.6 seconds, the device creates and releases 2 million negative ions across the face of the user in an effort to eliminate pollen, formaldehyde, secondhand smoke, and pet dander in the air. The moment negative ions attach to particles within close proximity, they become larger and heavier and eventually fall.

Conclusion

Given that this was my first experience at London Tech Week, I consider it a huge success!

?t was one of the best events and most unforgettable weeks in the last couple of months. I'm thankful for the opportunity to discover all about the next-gen technologies in the UK and represent CHI Software and the Ukrainian IT community in the international arena.

Let’s keep in touch and strive for success together!
