LoJack Assists the Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force with Recovery of a BMW M4

The owner of a 2015 BMW M4, valued at $29,050, reported it stolen. The theft was reported to the Tucson Police Department, and the BMW was entered as stolen in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database. The owner indicated that the BMW was stolen while it was at a repair shop.

The LoJack call center notified Tucson PD of the BMW’s location, and the vehicle was subsequently entered into the LoJack LE application. Officers from Tucson PD located the BMW at a local motel and contacted the Arizona Vehicle Theft Task Force (AZVTTF), at which point the case was handed over for further investigation.

The AZVTTF conducted surveillance on the stolen BMW as it left the motel and traveled to a residential neighborhood. The vehicle stopped at a known residence with a history of stolen vehicles, human and drug smuggling. The BMW was parked inside a fenced yard on the property.

After completing their surveillance, the AZVTTF recovered the stolen BMW. Several suspects were taken into custody, along with firearms and a large quantity of fentanyl pills. The BMW will be returned to its owner.

The LoJack GPS system was pre-installed by Porsche of Tucson, Arizona.
