New South Wales flood impacts
- While rainfall across impacted areas of New South Wales is starting to ease, rivers are still rising.
- Major impacts around the river catchments of Nepean, Windsor and Richmond are affected with all bridges closed and approximately 54 local road closures.
- Due to severe flooding in parts, the rail network is on hold and containers stabled in multiple destinations until further notice:
- Perth to Sydney containers stabled at Goulburn, Moss vale & Goobang
- Adelaide to Sydney stabled at Yass
- Brisbane to Sydney stabled at Mindarriba
- Melbourne to Sydney stabled at Ettamogah
- 97 Evacuation Orders are in place with 60 Evacuation Warnings affecting approximately 45,000 residences.
- Minor roof leaks at Botany, Alexandria, St Leonards, and Lisarow Delivery Facilities, with Bowral Delivery Centre still closed.
- Approximately 85,000 delivery points will be impacted due to access issues.
- Chronology of parcels is in place and Force Majeure scan events.
- Our transport and deliveries teams are continually assessing flood impacts and we will make every effort to deliver and collect where it is safe to do so.
- We will continue to provide updates on impacts and management as we work through the situation over the coming days.

The following Post Offices are closed:
- Richmond North LPO
- Wisemans Ferry LPO
- Warragamba LPO
- Wallacia LPO
There will be a number of LPOs and customer collection impacts around the Windsor catchment due to road closures.

National Air Network Update
- 281 tonnes of air freight were uplifted across the network.
- Severe weather conditions across the East Coast and Sydney resulted flight delays. Plans put in place allowed the Gold Coast-Sydney service, to overflew directly to Melbourne. Freight on the Gold Coast-Sydney service will be recovered from Melbourne.
- Disrupted PAX flights, as a result of the weather, have also impacted crew positioning.?
- Tonight’s Operations will also be impacted but contingency plans have been put in place for recovery
? Network Update – New South Wales and Australian Capital Territory
- There may be parcel delivery delays out of the following DCs – Leightonfield, Kirrawee, Metford, Canberra South, Murwillumbah, Belconnen, Terrigal, Charmhaven, Goulburn, Chullora, Bowral, and Merimbula.
- There will be delivery impacts today to postcodes:
- 2478, 2481, 2871 due to staffing issues.
- Parcels carried over at Riverina.
Network Update – Queensland
- There may be parcel delivery delays out of the following DCs – Mount Isa, Heathwood, Tingalpa, Toowong, Coorparoo, Redbank and Murarrie.
- There will be delivery impacts today to postcodes:
- 4562, 4731 due to road closures.
- Northern Rivers and Gold Coast regions due to flight delays (product direct from Melbourne).
- Parcels carried over at Logan City, Mount Isa and Stafford.
- Due to localised flooding in NSW, there will be delivery delays at Minchinbury, Botany and Worth Street, Chullora (MRP) depots.
- There may be some delays at Annandale Road, Minchinbury, and Brisbane depots due to late arrival of freight.
Parts of New South Wales, including Sydney, Newcastle and the South Coast, are currently experiencing extreme weather conditions with heavy rain, localised flooding and road closures. DHL Express drivers and those of our service partners (E.g. TOLL) are working hard to complete deliveries and pick-ups where possible whilst remaining safe.
