As you know, I have a keen interest in logistics and its innovations. That's why I keep an eye on startups in this industry.

Today, I'm excited to share five startups that have impressed me with their IT solutions for the logistics industry. While not all of them may have emerged this year, their impact on the sector's future growth remains significant, in my opinion.

This system automates logistics processes using AI. It constantly gets improved and is already capable of:

• Negotiating contracts between the customer and the logistics service provider.
• Scheduling appointments and communicating with various services via speech synthesis or email.
• Notifying drivers of potential or actual problems with cargo accounting.
• Analyzing and accepting tenders by studying email content.
• Tracking cargo movements via GPS and sending reports on reaching the destination or force majeure situations.

While the platform still requires improvement, its owners are fully committed to scaling the AI's potential and enriching it with new capabilities.

I see great potential in FleetWorks , and that's why this startup is in my ranking.

This system helps drivers find optimal freight transport contracts. The application uses AI to analyze market offers and then compile a list of orders.

With this platform, truck drivers across the USA and Canada can quickly find the most favorable contracts for themselves based on these parameters:

• Distance between points A and B.
• Number of stops.
• Volume and type of cargo.
• Rate Per Mile (RPM).
• Nearest cargo pickup point.

I should admit that this application is a must-have for self-truck owners and dispatching experts.

Voltic

When I first encountered the concept of environmentally friendly cargo shipping, I was skeptical about the idea of green ships.? But as I delved deeper into the subject, I recognized its potential benefits and was impressed by the initiative.

Voltic has equipped its ships with electric drives and powerful solar batteries. That allowed them to reduce the use of traditional fuel to zero!

This innovation has led to the following advantages:

• Reduction of the global CO2 emissions level by 2.2%.
• 20% drop in service costs.
• No restrictions on cargo delivery.

I find these findings shocking. Especially given the rapid and global adoption of eco-friendly practices across all business segments and the development of the Zero Emission program.

Cargado

Given the current political situation in the USA, it is quite remarkable to come across startups that aim to simplify cross-border transportation between the USA and Mexico. And Cargado is one of them.

The team of enthusiasts focuses on developing specialized logistics software for 3PL providers and independent carriers. This project is meant to optimize freight business processes through improved border crossings, navigation, accounting, and cargo tracking.

What stands out to me about this startup is not just its innovative vibe. I must say, the initiators really have a nerve, considering the tension between the two countries.

WattEV

Freight transportation in the USA accounts for a significant share of the global market. Every day, millions of trucks transport goods, equipment, or raw materials. And if you think about the amount of CO2 emissions generated by that movement…

Well, better not to think about that.

Logistic providers are actively seeking alternatives to traditional trucks. However, truck automakers seem to be slow in shifting away from gasoline and diesel engines. Despite this, new models of electric trucks have emerged. And this proves one thing - the progress in this matter.

The major challenge in operating electric vehicles is the lack of adequately equipped charging stations.

And I'm not surprised, given the large battery sizes required for trucks.

However, WattEV, Inc. is on its way to overcoming this challenge.

It creates comprehensive port infrastructures for charging electric trucks.

As of the beginning of 2024, the Long Beach Port project was 100% completed. Three more stations are coming by the end of the year.

Moreover, the company leases trucks from its own fleet. So, it allows everyone interested to experience the advantages of this innovative transport firsthand.
