Logic Keeps Us From Our Breakthrough

Logic Keeps Us From Our Breakthrough

Today I will share one idea that is 100% sure to move you towards your goal if you act on it.

Here it is...

When you get out of bed in the morning, take just 10 minutes for yourself.

Calmly think about what you want to be, do or have next in your life. Bring the picture up in your mind and play with it. Manufacture a smile on your face. Let the movie play itself out.?

  • Roll the money through your fingers.?
  • Feel your slim waist.?
  • Smell the wood as you enter the doorway of your beautiful new home
  • Thumb through the pages of your finished manuscript.?
  • Feel the warmth of the embrace of your new love.?
  • See the smile on your child's face as he skates out onto the ice.?
  • Feel the strength in your legs as you crest the summit.?

You get the picture.

Now, as you feel the goosebumps on your body and the happiness swelling up inside, you shift your mind slightly to focus on a little something you can do today to bridge the gap from where you are to the picture on the screen of your mind.

What is that ONE thing you can do today? Engage your thinking apparatus and write down a few ideas. This becomes easier as you follow this exercise daily. Creativity is something we need to exercise.

Now, look over the list and commit to doing at least one of the ideas today. ACT. Don't think. ACT.

Ignore logic. Logic is likely what stalled you out, to begin with.?

Take emotion-filled action.

Here is what is going to happen.

You are going to fail. But, you are going to learn.

Or, you will move the needle in some small or big way and you can build on that momentum tomorrow morning.

The number one problem I see is there are not enough people acting each and every day.

Fast action trumps everything.

It's the adage of two steps forward and one step back. People who take the two steps are ahead at all times. Too many of us are fearful of the consequences of one step back.

What do you think?

Is this an exercise you are willing to commit to each and every day?

Share your commitment in the comments.

Have a great weekend.

Chris

PS. if you found this short piece helpful I would be honored if you shared it.
