Logging-on’s second issue of October contains a number of new products available to loggers. A trend that has been taking place for some time is the move towards battery powered power tools. Husqvarna is currently placing much focus on this and has announced a strategic relationship with German battery producer BMZ. Hot on the heels of its larger framed swing machines, John Deere has released their new 21 and 26 model swing machines for jobs such as loading and processing. Waratah’s third new product that was on display at Demo International 2016 was its HTH623C 4x4 multi-stem processing head for larger trees. Our final new product is a robust 30 tonne JCB excavator for harsh operating conditions. We also continue our series of Case articles regarding the importance of machine oil and fluid testing.
