With the first quarter of the year gone, Logging-on’s first issue of April presents two new 8-wheeled harvester models from Logset. One of the new harvesters makes use of dual diesel engine and electric hybrid power to boost productivity. After having received a few queries regarding lightning and heavy equipment, we bring safety information on this important subject. Logging-on notes with interest the changes in the pecking order of the global top construction equipment manufacturers, although Cat and Komatsu remain firmly at the top. We also feature our final article on aspects that we should consider if we are in the market for a new excavator. Finally, Bandit has developed innovative safety devices to prevent cables and ropes from being pulled into chippers, to control the possible risk of the operator being pulled in simultaneously.
