LOETB Welcomes Launch of Domestic Heat Pump Installation Incentivisation Scheme for Plumbers

In a significant stride towards enhancing Ireland's sustainable energy infrastructure, Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Patrick O’Donovan TD, has today announced the launch of a new Domestic Heat Pump Installation Incentivisation Scheme for plumbers.

This initiative, active from the 8 August to 1 December 2024, is designed to assist qualified plumbers in undertaking heat pump installation training courses.

This scheme offers qualified plumbers an excellent opportunity to train in domestic heat pump installation, contributing to a greener Ireland.

Participants will receive a daily rate of €100 for each day of training, up to a maximum of €500 upon successful completion and certification.

Eligibility: Recently qualified Craft Apprentice Plumbers (within the last 5 years).

Payment Details:

- Self-employed contractors will receive the contribution directly.

- Employees will have the contribution paid to their employer.
