5 年Thank you for having the right people participate in this article. It amazes me the people that produce commentary via other channels and their complete lack of knowledge on current trends, systems, architecture and overall business knowledge. Many don’t even have clients or engaged in current projects. Thanks for the quality of discussion and those included. As a business architect, this role is also needed for success and is becoming a globally recognized field and one that will be fundamental in the coming years. #businessarchitecture

5 年Great read .. however there is a certain something missing in line up!?
Hi guys, I agree with all of you. "Easy to connect" is one of critical success factors which drives a hotelier from legacy to cloud systems. As the pms plays a central role and as our REAL ROLE is to support clients, we will need strong connections and quick technical help to manage any problems. So good job everyone! ;-)

6 年Some interesting comments and predictions in this article. I think you've missed the biggest issue which will be the ownership of the consolidated and enriched guest profile. It's fine to think that tech vendors can interact with guest data from new DaaS suppliers but what about the proprietary data that those vendors collect on guests who interact with their platforms or products? Is company A willing to push back proprietary data elements to the DaaS so that other vendors, including competitors can use that data on behalf of the hotel customer? If we're really moving toward open data it has to be reciprocal.
