Localeur's Core Values

Localeur's Core Values

This past weekend, and for the first time ever, we held a team retreat bringing together our small, but powerful founding team to discuss our product, community and both short- and long-term goals and objectives. The first thing we got to work on was discussing our core values and putting them on paper.

Authenticity: We value what's genuine and real. We do this by ensuring we keep our focus on our mission of supporting and experiencing local.

Boundless: We are not limited to existing systems and processes, but instead seek out new channels and pathways to achieve our goals.

Diversity: We place significant value on individualism and understand that we will more effectively reach our goals by respecting and making room for varying backgrounds and beliefs within our team and community.

Empowerment: We provide our team and community with a sense of ownership around their roles and abilities in fulfilling our mission.

Freedom: We embrace choice and allow individuals to be themselves within our team. Not true, Chase makes fun of my taste in music!

Grit: We push beyond hurdles and persevere to accomplish our mission and goals.

Hustle: We will not be outdone by our competitors because we will always work tirelessly to find a solution, no matter the obstacles.

Initiative: We take it upon ourselves to demonstrate the behavior we want to see from our fellow team members and community and do not wait for permission or make excuses to pursue something that will benefit our mission and goals.

Nimble-ness: We adapt and remain flexible to ensure we can pursue our mission fully without being tethered to outdated thinking and processes.

Openness: We encourage open communication and respect varying perspectives.

Passion: We share our excitement and honor our commitment to our mission and our team by bringing our best selves to work each day.

Trust: We enable more effective communication and teamwork by trusting one another and constantly striving to earn and maintain the trusts of our community.
