Local safety companies team up to provide school with life-saving equipment

Two Mold-based businesses Jackson Fire & Security and Delyn Safety have combined to provide Argoed High School near Mold with a defibrillator which will be based in the school.

Both businesses teamed up with Denbigh-based organisation Dream Safety who will provide staff and over twenty Year 10 students at Argoed High School with training on CPR and the use of the new defibrillator.

Representatives from all three businesses visited the school to present the defibrillator and to meet the headteacher and students from Year 11.

Managing director of Jackson Fire & Security, Steve Jackson said: “We saw this opportunity to help as too good to turn down. Not only are we helping out the local school but this will be of huge benefit to the whole area and something which is vital to have in place in every community.”

Mr Paul Smith, headteacher, said: “We are so very grateful to Mike Joy from Delyn Safety and Steve Jackson from Jackson Fire & Security for their generous donation of a defibrillator for our school and community.

“Thank you to Sharon Stubbs from Dream Safety who has agreed to provide staff and students with training in CPR and the use of the new defibrillator.”
