LOCAL PRODUCERS ENHANCE SUMMER THEMED AFTERNOON TEA AT THE METROPOLE HOTEL

Chefs at the Metropole Hotel in Cork City have teamed up with local producers to create a new summer-themed afternoon tea.

Head Chef Mark Cronin and Pastry Chef Alicja have curated an exciting menu incorporating a range of locally grown berries.? The chefs have teamed up with local strawberry producers in Cork to bring the best locally sourced produce to their guests.

?

The sweet and savoury selection includes West Cork Strawberries Pavlova & Chantilly Cream, Raspberry & Plum Clafoutis, White Chocolate Blondie with Blueberry Gel, and Cucumber, Mint & Crème Fraiche on Granary Bread.

?

Diners will also be treated to a summer berries welcome cocktail made from Moineir Irish black berry wine from Wicklow along with gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup.

?

The new afternoon tea will be served seven days a week throughout the summer from 12.30pm to 4.00pm and is priced at €40 per person and €25 per child.

Berries are the essence of summer and our chefs have gone the extra mile to ensure each treat is designed to bring out the unique flavours of what Cork has to offer.? We hope this delightful afternoon tea will be enjoyed by young and old alike in the beautiful Met Bar which is located in the heart of the VQ in Cork City.”
