Local Businesses Need You. Which ones will you help?

Do you want to boost the economy?

Of course, you do.

Many of us, in the good old days, used to go out to lunch. Sometimes, we would even pick up dinner to eat at our desk or take home. Restaurants in our area depended on us.

We also went to the dry cleaners and the coffee shop and the copy shop and the liquor store and the gift shop and the hair salon/barber shop and the shoe store and the clothing store and… and the list goes on and on.

They’re all hurting. Many of them have already closed. Some might never reopen.

Now is the fourth quarter – the time when businesses usually make their money. But this year, it is incredibly tough.

This is the season of giving – and not just to ourselves. It’s the season of giving for the greater good.

And here’s a two-fer.

I’m sure you have plenty of people on your holiday gift list. I’m also sure, you’re not really certain what to give them. So why not give each of them a gift card from a local business?

Find a business you know your friend or relative will like and get them a gift card.

The business will really appreciate it and so will your friends and family. It will also help the business have a greater chance of surviving the pandemic.

The United State economy is based on small business. And everything we can do to support our small businesses brings us one step closer to getting out of this slump.

Support your neighbors. Support your community. Support local business. It’s just the right thing to do.
