the lobsterpot< newswrap – uk: gearing up for change?
Hey-hey thermidor<ks!
ICYMI: Britain has a new government. A Labour government. A traditionally-leftie org that appeared to be swinging strategically right – in order to appeal to everyone but the most buttoned-up of pearl clutchers. And it worked.?
So what next for cannabis? Can we expect a loosening of laws? A less stringent medical cannabis criteria bar? NHS availability? Not anytime soon, I’d wager. Which is why, dear friends and advocates, we have to keep pushing – for availability, access, and acceptance. And it’s going to be that way for some time yet.?
So keep doing what you’re doing – running a cannabusiness despite the regulatory hurdles, agricultural snafus, and good old fashioned stigma.
Tories are out (yay!) Labour is in! But what does this mean for the cannabis cause here in the UK? Will the new left-of-centre government budge on reclassification – or decriminalisation? Who can say? But this excellent piece from Leafie takes a closer look.?

Starbucks, the global coffee giant is suing NYC-based weed retailer, Starbuds, for copyright infringement as the mobile cannabusiness continues to use the dessert-masquerading-as-caffeine chain’s patented ‘Siren’ logo. Though she’s depicted puffing on a blunt, the homogenous hot drinks hawker is having none of it.?
All these weird weed terms can get the average cannabis consumer in a right sticky pickle. So here’s a piece outlining exactly what ‘shake’ is and what you can do with it. But yes, it can get you high.?
Yup, our founder, Dave Barton, will be hosting an international patient panel at the two day event?– which takes place on 2 and 3 August in Hamburg, Germany (in case ya didn’t know…).?
It’s sure to be an insightful, fun, and engaging opportunity for patients to compare notes and discuss how med markets change (or not?) when rec comes in. Keen to come along?

A few fictional scenarios that were created ‘under the influence’ ( Cory Doctorow must be shitting himself…).?
