Loading Arms Plus, Inc.

Loading Arm Plus, Inc. celebrated 5 years on 1 March 2017, a big milestone for a country boy. These first years have passed so fast, I find it hard to believe it’s been 5 years. Starting from a home office, now a facility with 6 offices, conference room and warehouse. And we are continuing to grow with two new service trucks last year and adding more people this year. Our capabilities are expanding to include installation, inspection, and maintenance of fall protection systems last year and inspection, testing, and refurbishment of API Couplers this year.

Over the past several years we have completed several large projects with Marathon, TARGA Resources, Orion Construction, CALAMCO and Enterprise Products.  Currently we have two major projects kicking off this year along with ongoing maintenance projects at numerous locations.

CALAMCO Arm Replacement 

The only arm I know of with the Arm Stand Post inside a warehouse and reaching over two rail road tracks. The warehouse is part of an old Ordinance Depot. The Arm Stand Post is installed in one of the bomb elevator shafts.

Along the way, I have had the support of many old friends and many more new ones.  We have had the opportunity to make friends and work with people all over the world. Several very good friends have or will be retiring. We will miss you. We lost a very good friend early last year, Barry Smith of Marathon, Garyville Refinery. Barry helped and pushed me to get our first Master Service Agreement.

I would like to thank Gil Hoene, David Wise, Ben McClain, Joe Williamson, Bob Conroy, Carlin Klein, Thad Hairston, Richie Cooper, Pat Skilling, Brad Yates, Tim O’Meara, Lee Gardiner and Steve Davis for their help advice and support over the past several years. And I have to thank all my employees, you are the ones that made it possible. I could not have made it without the support and help of my best friend, Hubert Kraeuter. And as always there is a woman behind the man, my wife, Love you Virginia Diaz-Laughlin.

What a journey it has been and it is only starting. We are looking forward to another fun 5 years!
