LOAD FALL PROTECTION - GRAPPLING HOOK
Flexco has once again proven to be the simplest, most efficient, and economical solution for this special application. The application required us to block a grappling hook from releasing any goods while it is loaded.
The objective:
-Once the grappling hook has load, the release function is automatically unavailable to the operator.
The solution:
-Flexco sensor on the hoist (installed without any modifications to any brand, capacity, or model)
-Flexco I-5000 indicator with relays
The relay setpoint is set at the lowest weight the customer lifts with his overhead crane and is connected in series with the release function of his grapple hook. Any time a load is lifted, the relay goes on and the release function on the operators controller does not work until the load has been lowered back the ground. Then, the sensor and indicator will read that there is no more load on the crane, the relay will deactivate, and the operator will be able to use the release function.
