It's Friday. Maybe the week hasn't gone your way. We came in off of the holiday, had to play catch up and now it's almost over already. You can still make a play today. Make something happen. Don't delay until next week. Your effort today will be reflected back to you in the future. So if you want a prosperous future, leave it on the field today. But first, enjoy this week's edition of The LO Down.

These are my 5 favorite posts from mortgage folks this week.
First up, Kelly Capozzi shares what I could only imagine is a very relatable depiction of what it's like at a networking event these days. If only it were this easy. Got a good laugh from this one. Thank you for sharing.
Second, Michael Zau shares an adorable, yet insightful commentary on Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. We got our jobs report this morning, guess we'll see what happens later on this month.
Third, Diandrai Webb provides a glimpse into the humanity of being a Loan Officer and working in the mortgage business. Some great relationships are formed in the business, and being able to serve someone you worked with in the past is a blessing. Love to see this stuff out there!
Fourth, Shane Kidwell shares a special moment that he had with his daughter and the message is pretty strong. Like Shane, I encourage you to recognize those opportunities to lift others up, and take action.
And finally, Kayla Kallander shares a post about the importance of slowing down and taking moments to have deeper conversations with clients to create a better overall experience. Great example of the benefits of being a true advisor in the process and not just a facilitator.

Podcast of the Week:
Loan Officer Leadership: 367. One Small Tweak, BIG Results – 5 Loans Last Week for $1.4M
In this episode, Steve Kyles and Jarrod Manley discuss the metrics that Jarrod starting measuring, including one in particular, that has led to massive positive results. Take a listen to find out what that metric is. My favorite quote: "I just did it when I was bad at it, and I just kept doing it again." Love it!
SOLO Tip of the Week:
This comes from a coaching call that I was on last week:
Ask your referral partners what they say about you when they introduce you to new clients.
Do you know how you are being introduced?
Take inventory of that to see if there is room for improvement that would help you convert at a higher level.
Dad Joke of the Week:
Banks should do a better job of keeping their ATMs filled.
I've been to five today, and they have all said "Insufficient Funds"
