It's officially Summer in my neck of the woods. Kids are out of school, people out on vacation, and the hope of inventory rising is among us. It remains to be seen what will happen next, but I don't think it's wise to wait and see. Now is the time to make things happen. Dream big, do big. This industry has a history of rewarding the dreamers and the doers and those that do both tend to win big.

These are my five favorite posts from mortgage folks this week.
Up first, ?? Kelly Yale shares a Marketing Plan from the past. I found this incredibly helpful to get a glimpse into the kind of planning and thought that goes into creating a Marketing Plan and the amount of detail and consistency required to deliver. Thank you for sharing Kelly, it definitely gave me some perspective.
Second, James Kleimann shares a slew of statistics regarding the attitude of consumers towards the upcoming changes from the NAR Settlement. We can debate what will happen, what should happen, etc., but in the end, the market will decide. It is helpful to see these stats and get an idea of how the market feels.
Third, Chris Sorensen with a simple, yet effective truth bomb that was delivered to him from his Dad. These words of wisdom cut deep. In the end, there is only one thing that really matters to most people. Check out the post to find out.
Fourth, Grant Lupo posts a story about sign-on bonuses, clawbacks, financial strength, and the relationship between them all. The analogy provided was insightful and gives some interesting perspective to the situation. Check it out to see for yourself.
And finally, Justin Lopatin shares a few hacks to help you get over the dreaded "call reluctance." It has been a grind out there for a long time, much longer than many of us would admit we thought it would take. That grind has led a lot of folks to burnout, and this list can help you approach the same activity from a different angle.

Podcast of the Week:
RealEstateAF - How Do Real Estate Commissions Work - Explained in Less than 3 Minutes
I'll admit, this isn't an entire episode, but I think this 3 minutes is powerful and is a great share. Host Mark Jones talks with Steve Collins about how to explain the value of a Realtor to the seller.

SOLO Tip of the Week:
Get Over It
A phrase you will hear often in sales is "So What, Now What?"
It's tempting when a deal goes south to go and tell everyone who will listen about what happened. To wallow in it for a while.
If you find yourself in that mindset, remind yourself of this phrase.
"So what" - It happened, it's done, can't change the past.
"Now what" - Your response matters. What are you going to do next in order to generate the next lead, to push back and save the deal, to make a new impact?
"So What, Now What?"
Get Over It
