It was quite the week. We had the announcement of the Guild acquisition of Academy, the CPI Report, and Valentine's Day among other things. Along the way, I have had so many encouraging conversations with LO's about rising applications and even a little bit of momentum in fundings. Let's see where this crazy train takes us.

These are my five favorite posts from mortgage folks over the last week.
First, Andrew Postell posted a series of clips from an interview he did about long term, real estate investing with rental properties. The content is great and informative. Always great to hear these kinds of insights from folks that are living what they talk about.

In response to "THE" CRM post from Greg Sher last week, ?? Kelly Yale supplies a well thought out and helpful response with a list of things to consider when you are vetting out a CRM system for your use. Loved the thought behind this.
?
Next up Nikki Rhea shares 10 game-winning action items to build and lead a team of high-performing producers. This is a well constructed list and a good framework to follow. For me 3 and 8 go hand in hand and are possibly the most important on the list.

Jon Overfelt shares a little about group that they brought together at his company to collaborate and see things from a different perspective. If you ask me, this group's perspective would be very interesting to hear as they are on the pulse of everything in their role and likely see the blind spots.
?
Finally, Michael Decker shares the secret sauce that exists in his organization, and quite honestly, it is the secret sauce for every organization. People make this business great, and aligning with the right people will help you flourish. Find your people.
And as a final honorable mention, Brian Vieaux pulls people together with a great post about collaboration and calls for others to share the names of folks in the industry that are doing their part to give back to the business and make an impact.
