LN#44 || One advice for someone seeking life in Filmmaking!

The advice that I can personally give anyone who wants to enter the world of Filmmaking is -

COME PREPARED.

No matter what field you are from, do your homework before entering the Film Industry.

Why?

So that you already have an edge over other people and stand out from the rest of them in an already over-saturated industry which is populated with people who have no idea what they are doing, but hide behind the mask of creativity to hide their lack of knowledge and craft.

Also, do you think people will pay you and give your work in a project that is costing them a lot just so that you can satisfy your hunger or passion but about which you know nothing about?

Yeah, I don’t think so too.

So as Steve Martin said — “Be so good that they can’t ignore you.”

Also, be prepared to face whatever comes your way. Money may come and go but it is your willingness and persistence that should sustain and never leave you. You should be ready to do anything to fulfil your dream of becoming relevant in the Film Industry.
