LMP1: TRANSIENT ANALISYS FOR DAMPER IMPROVING

The main goal is improve damper to LMP1:

For that, is necessary analyzing the transient behavior in:

- Car heave vibration.

-Car pitch vibration.

- Car yaw vibration.

- Car roll vibration.

From these simulations in CFD, is posible calculate 4 function between downforce, position or car setup and vibration frequency:

From this numeric model, is posible calculate a damper "ideal", in order the named PERFORMANCES INDEX (PI).

Thesse PI are, for example:

- Number indicating the "ideal" contact patch load".

- Number indicating the deflection or tire vibration.

- Etc...

From that and with numeric model of full car, is posible improve damper, but also the gravity center, sprung and unsprung mass, roll bar, inerter damper, etc....

In this model is posible applied as a signal input (traditional Post Rig bench):

- Step.

- Waves.

- Bump track (full track o circuit).

- Corner.

- Etc....

This procedure is named "AERO POST RIG".
