This is a famous picture which contains both a young and old lady. Some may see young in the first instance and some may the old. When we see either of, the other is not seen. But upon good focus and without myopic view we see both together... a whole picture clearly.
Similarly reg the world we see, we see as we are conditioned to. The famous example of #AdwaitVedanta one who is scared of snakes sees the snake in the rope in a dark and distant place. In day to day life also during conversation we hear the words which echo in our own mind, we infer the meanings as per our understanding base on the situation. Misunderstand each other often, the studies says 70% of the time we misunderstand each other in the same language, culture and family. What to do? :) Well, see the things as they are, period !
Another analogy of #mirage in a desert. Water appears more fascinating if you are thirsty. But it's impossible to fetch water from the mirage. #Seeing the non existence of mirage and all the cravings about the water seen in the mirage disappear automatically :)
So #suffering is due to the ignorance that we see ourselves as separate entity which is not true. Since we dont see it so we resist, doubt, shout etc etc. Once we re-orient or re-focus our seeing then we see that there is no separation between self and the other, its pure #illusion. #SelfIllumination is when all kinds of illusions disappear. It's about seeing together the maya and reality, the untrue and that which is true. #RamanaMaharishi so beautifully responded to the statement 'Love others" and he had said "But where is the other? :) "
Look the interconnectedness in the eco-system. As a matter also we are connected with each other. Certainly as energy we are one. And matter and energy is one movement. Let's re-focus the way we see. Usually, it's always fixated outward things, now look as a third person at both the yourself (observer) and the scene (observed) like in the above analogy of old and young lady....see the both together. Then what happens? Isnt that observer (you as past, memory, experience, image) and the observed (thought, feeling, perspectives about anyone you look at) is one? :) In such seeing there is no observer but pure impersonal seeing, not the person but the presence. And in such presence we can see the things as they are :)
