Liverpool Learning Partnership
An education charity supporting local schools to prioritise the needs of learners
Team Update
We are delighted to inform you of our new team members moving forward. Working alongside Kath, Jenny and Nicola, we now have Liz van de Waal who is our Interim CEO since Elaine Rees has retired. She will be supporting the Partnership, two days a week. We also have Louise who is working in the role of Mental Health Schools' Team Data Analyst. In addition, we also now have Sarra who has also joined our team in the capacity of Bid Writer.
These exciting changes will ensure that the Partnership can continue to support schools across all sectors more effectively.

Black History Month Online CPD on Local Black History and Diversity in Literature
LLP member schools are invited to come and join Donna Palmer from the EMTAS team at School Improvement Liverpool and Jenny Holder from Liverpool Learning Partnership for a special online CPD session for Black History Month. Donna will be talking about including local Black History into your history curriculum. Jenny will then talk about the importance of using books to provide mirrors, windows and sliding glass doors (an idea which came from Dr Rudine Sims Bishop).
This session is suitable for colleagues in both primary and secondary and will be held on zoom.
Please note that this session is exclusive to LLP member schools.?

Merseyrail Station Visits
Our friends at Merseyrail would like us to share information about their free station visits for pupils in UKS2. This two-hour visit would include:
·???????? Free train travel into Liverpool Central for the visit
·???????? A tour of Liverpool Central station
·???????? Opportunity to talk with staff about how maths is important at Merseyrail
·???????? a short journey to the classroom area at Moorfields Station
·???????? something special to take away
This is also a great opportunity for UKS2 pupils to become more familiar with how to use and access the Merseyrail network.
