Last (few) week(s) at Aggregate Intellect!

I skipped the weekly update in the past few weeks because I was promoting our latest LLM Workshop. For those who aren't familiar, we run a one day workshop every 8 weeks or so focused on all things LLMs where we bring in expert speakers who share their insight and experiences.

The workshop was quite popular this time with a total of 1100+ people signed up for the 8 sessions we had planned. I would say it was a success with lots of good feedback. Well, at the very least I had fun learning, and I hope others did too.

Other than that, I have been busy with a few interesting leads that showed up after I spoke on a panel at MaRS. I have also been making good progress on validating an interesting market hypothesis. I will write more about that later.

Well, the big news of the past few weeks was the workshop, so my unsung heroes for are with no doubt the speakers of the workshop: Ali Madani , Andy McMahon , Suhas Pai , Boqi Chen , Jay Alammar , Penny Ji , Denys Linkov , and Alireza Darbehani . Thank you all for being so generous with your time, knowledge, and tolerating my questions!

LLM Stuff

• We have officially transitioned from "LLM Journal Club" to "LLM Problem Solvers" for our weekly Friday discussions. The core idea is that we are crowdsourcing important questions our community is working on, and every week pick one to discuss. The next one will be on LLM / RAG Fine-Tuning.
• I wrote about AI, judgement, and prediction
• LangChain announced their series A
• Masoud Hashemi shared this paper on jailbreaking LLMs using temperature
• I thought this and this were interesting papers

Startup Stuff

• I caught up on posting most of my writings on substack
• I wrote about keeping yourself motivated as a startup founder
• We went for a walk from Filosofy Cafe to Trinity Bellwoods Park, to Insomnia for Brunch!
