On Living Well: Everything Evolves!
I wrote this note on 07/29/18, and I’ve copied it here as is to maintain its integrity to the time I wrote it.
In life we are conditioned to accept certain aspects of life as defined by our cultures, churches, parents, leaders, social association, etc.. Whatever their nature, over time these things become part of our identity. We generally don’t even know we have control over them because we don’t know this programming is happening. This becomes the only way we see ourselves and how we relate to the world.
I say this because there are things in my life that I observed needed a wake up call. Realizing this turned me into a HIP — Human In Progress…
This awareness has given me the power to change the things I can change. It has given me the power to understand that I don’t have to be that old person. It has given me the curiosity to question all manner of things. It has given me the freedom to become the best version of myself everyday... It gives you confidence to be comfortable with always becoming.
This type of thinking pervades every aspect of my life. It requires self-awareness and enoughness of the world around me and to continually adapt and evolve to its ever evolving nature.
If you don’t learn and evolve, you atrophy. You get stuck in, and with the old you - with the same old excuses and rationalizations, old biases, old ways of relating to the world (even as it changes), and worst of all — old ways of thinking.
This is why we need to set and reset goals in every aspect of our life. Because life is a dynamic and interdependent state of consciousness.
Everything Evolves — You Should Too!
I hope you find it useful. Stay #HIP!
