Living sustainably: The Cadence Approach Spotlight

Living sustainably: The Cadence Approach Spotlight

We’re recently back from another fabulous visit to our friends Lynn and Sandra who have a 150-acre croft in the Cairngorms in Scotland. Those of you who have seen my Cadence Approach keynote will have heard the story I tell towards the end, where I quote Sandra as saying ‘the most important part of land stewardship is rest’. We always have meaningful conversations when we see them, and this annual trip was no different. We talked about some big ideas, such as how much is enough, why less is more in regenerative farming and the importance of sustainability.?

I didn’t realise it when I signed onto the?‘How to Farm’ residential course ?in August 2022, but there are so many parallels between what they do in regenerative farming and what I do in wellbeing. These rich conversations have given me much to think about, so look out for new content in the coming months about the idea of personal sustainability . How can we ensure we are living sustainably from a personal point of view – both in terms of renewable energy and our own contribution to the sustainability of the planet? It’s this and other big questions that I plan to address.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this topic, drop me a DM or an email.

All the best for now,

Leanne

Funding for game-changing tech which could destroy cancers and predict disease

A multi-million pound government investment in potential breakthrough medical devices could save countless lives. Part of a £10 million funding package to enhance access to medical technology, eight innovative tech companies will bring their devices to market, revolutionising treatment for some major causes of death and disability in the UK. One particular device uses focused ultrasound waves to target liver cancer tumours without harming healthy tissue, offering a safer alternative to current treatments and potentially improving patient quality of life by reducing hospital visits and complications. The initiative aligns with the government's blueprint to advance NHS medtech so that we all might benefit from cutting-edge healthcare.
