Living on Purpose: Are you using your intellect and ignoring intuition?

It’s not often you see the wires of real estate and spirituality cross. There are, of course, moments of sentimentality in the industry, whether it is watching a couple purchase their first home or being involved in the early beginnings of a major company headquarters. However, in an industry so centred around buying and selling externally, you have to ask, what centres us as real estate agents internally?

I often think, there ought to be something more and ponder my overall purpose as a man in business. This exploration within is an invaluable tool for anyone, not just those who are already connected spiritually. No matter what phase of your career you are in, it is always beneficial to pinpoint the why factor and ask, what was I put here to do??

Chances are, you may not have an answer. That is why on this week’s episode of ‘The Moxham Mindset’ Podcast, I was honoured to chat to the man who just might be able to help you find your why.?

Dr Fred Grosse is an expert in the field of fuelling your soul first and as a byproduct, seeing your business flourish. At 86 years-old, Dr Fred has earnt the titles of business psychotherapist, personal coach, author, speaker and ordained Rabbi. Rising at 5am, meditating, praying, planning and then proceeding to conduct his day of helping people like you or me unearth the thing that makes us feel alive, Dr Fred shows no signs of slowing down.?

With a myriad of qualifications, experiences and self-assurance under his “black-belt” (yes, I am referencing the title of his best-selling book) it is easy to conclude that Dr Fred is good at everything, yet he assures me that is not the case. Instead, he offered a refreshing perspective on reaching your potential, one which places much less pressure on the person but is in fact, more impactful. It is not about being able to do everything - it is about finding what you’re good at, then delegating the tasks you are not so capable of.?

It is not necessary to be the best at every component of your company but instead, focusing your energy on being productive within your given talents and unlocking your individual genius, will result in exponential growth. “Most people are trained to do the things they’re not good at,” Dr Fred put simply and to-the-point, “which is dumb.”

Isn’t it just? It would seem somewhere in the midst of offering the most competitive services or honing the most specialised skills we have forgotten what it means to excel at the one thing we truly love. This is exactly why Dr Fred works with businesses and entrepreneurs, to help the leaders in the economy focus less on earning money and more on “what makes their heart sing.” For Dr Fred, it is the heart rather than the mind that truly helps in finding your career calling.?
